     PHOENIX, ARIZ. (July 8, 2021) – Arizona Self-Storage Association (AZSA), the trade association that represents the self-storage industry in Arizona, recently announced its 2021-2022 elected board members.

Elected incumbent board members include James Appleton, MiniCo Insurance Agency; Poppy Behrens, Publisher, MiniCo Publishing, Conference Chair; Richard Marmor, Legal/Legislative Chair; and Carol Mixon Krendl, SkilCheck Services, Education Chair.

Newly elected board members include David Grapsas, a principal of the structural engineering consulting firm, United Structural Design, LLC; and Lee Starrett, Kiwi II Construction.

AZSA’s leadership will continue to include Diane Gibson, Cox Armored Mini Storage Management, President; Jeff Gorden, The Gorden Companies, Vice President; Martin Lorch, BPI Capital Management, Treasurer; and Anne Mari DeCoster, Storelocal, Secretary.

“The AZSA board is comprised of a dedicated team of dynamic individuals who embody excellence while continually raising the bar for the local and national self-storage industry,” said AZSA Executive Director Amy Amideo. “We try to honor the past and embrace the future while being mindful of the present. As such, AZSA is truly fortunate to have our incumbents back on the board. In addition, we look forward to working with our two newly elected board members. Other returning board members include Bill Alter, Rein & Grossoehme Commercial Real Estate; David Brown, Wentworth Property Company; Matthew Hall, Stadium Properties; Korey Hanson, Professional Self Storage Management; Whitney Jurjevich, owner/operator, Ameri-Park RV & Boat Storage; Ray McRae, Arizona Mini Storage Management Company; Alonna Ross Business Development Manager, StorageAuctions.com; Belinda Rosthenhausler, CDC Small Business Finance; Chris Rudel, The Rudel Company; and Tarik Williams, TLW Construction.

AZSA boasts more than 600 facilities in the association owned by approximately 300 owner/operators as well as more than 100 associate members who are both local and national vendors to the self-storage industry.

AZSA holds numerous events, including live and virtual (webinar) educational offerings, networking opportunities and its annual conference, trade show and golf tournament.
