     GILBERT, ARIZONA  (October 30, 2017) – Earthworks Environmental LLC continues its growth in Arizona with the hiring of Compliance Manager Jamie Zanazzo, Principal Cherie Koester announced.

Zanazzo will be responsible for storm water pollution prevention (SWPP), dust inspections, and rain event inspections. Her duties will also include updating site maps, electronic rain logs, and site rain logs. She will represent clients at regulatory inspections.

Zanazzo joins Earthworks Environmental from the Town of Gilbert, where she served as Environmental Compliance Inspector for almost two years. She was responsible for program development and continued education and enforcement of local, county, state, and national regulations for storm water, air quality, and permitting within Gilbert.

“Jamie is the ideal addition to Earthworks,” Koester said. “She is experienced in regulatory and industry matters. I’m excited to see where she leads the East Valley in her consulting.”

Zanazzo was raised in Alaska. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in biology. After college, she worked for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. She was also a bear-viewing and fishing guide for Redoubt Bay Lodge. Zanazzo and her husband, Matthew, are expecting their first child in February.

Last November, Earthworks Environmental opened an office in the Orlando/Tampa/Jackson, Fla., area. Lead Compliance Manager Mark Hubbard operates the Florida office. The Gilbert, Arizona-based firm also has offices in Texas and Illinois.

Earthworks Environmental services include storm water pollution prevention, dust control, and construction safety compliances. The firm primarily serves land developers, vertical developers, commercial construction, and land holding companies.
