Ye Zhang, PE

    TUCSON, ARIZ. (March 28, 2022) – Continuing to bolster leadership roles in key departments, GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Ye Zhang, PE, to Director of Electrical Engineering.

GLHN also announced that Ted Moeller, PE, will transition to a new role as Chief Electrical Engineer, continuing his key client relationships and key project leadership with the Electrical Engineering Department.

“Ye has continued to show clear leadership of our Electrical Engineering Department, and will be continuing to do so at a higher level,” said GLHN CEO Rob Lamb. “Ye will continue in many of her responsibilities as Department Manager while delegating some to other members of her staff.”

GLHN is an employee-owned firm with more than 50 years of expertise in healthcare and higher education projects. The promotions are the result of a new dedication to design and the firm’s commitment to improving its communities by elevating the built environment.

Zhang, who has been with GLHN for 3 years, will be responsible for setting goals for the team, hiring, mentoring, engineering and project management for key clients and projects, and business development.

A native of Beijing, China, Zhang earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a member of Women in Healthcare and serves on the Membership Committee of Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA).

Her philanthropy includes work with the Jane Goodall Institute and the Sojourner Center. Away from the office Zhang enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.

 

Ted Moeller, PE

Moeller, who has been with GLHN for 26 years, will assist Zhang in the development of her career and the success of the Electrical Engineering Department. He will continue as a company Vice President and member of the GLHN ESOP Board of Trustees and GLHN Board of Directors.

A native of New York State, Moeller earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona.

Moeller serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Arizona, teaching power engineering at the College of Engineering’s Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics. He is one of several of GLHN’s professional architects and engineers who teach at UA as part of GLHN’s commitment to fostering the education of the next generation of professionals in the built environment by teaching courses, participating in university-industry partnerships, and offering internships to students.
