SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. (Sept. 21, 2022) – Lucas Construction Group recently opened an Arizona office, compiling a team of industry veterans with more than 125 years of combined experience and creating a new force in the region’s multi-family and senior healthcare construction sector.

Lucas Construction team staff members have delivered more than 6,500 multi-family units in Metro Phoenix over the past 20 years. It currently has an active trio of senior healthcare projects in Arizona and two additional projects in Oregon worth $70 million when completed.

With annual revenues expected to exceed $125 million, Lucas Construction Group is a diversified general contractor based in North Scottsdale.

“Our current focus is on serving Metro Phoenix owners and developers in delivering quality multi-unit projects including garden, podium, and wrap construction types,” said Rick Rohde, Lucas Construction Group Director of Construction. “With an experienced team including field staff, we welcome referrals and collaboration with larger general contractors with workforce challenges.”

Lucas Construction Group has active senior living construction projects in San Tan Valley, Payson, and Estrella (Goodyear). Additional projects are underway in Roseburg and Creswell, Oregon.

Lucas Construction Group is affiliated with Inspired Healthcare Capital, an established senior living private equity real estate company with more than $1 billion in healthcare real estate transactions, acquired, developed, and financed.

Additional partners include Cre8tive Architecture and NSite Development, which were established along with Lucas Construction Group to meet the constantly increasing demand for multi-unit and senior housing. Although each company is a separate entity operating independently, the ecosystem created by the partnership offers efficiencies in expediting client projects and feeds cross-marketing opportunities to continue growth.

Tenant improvements have begun on an additional 10,000 SF space in Kierland Corporate Center to accommodate the growth of its staff, which now totals 20. Inspired Healthcare Capital will remain in the 15,000 SF space the four companies currently occupy. Lucas Construction Group, Cre8tive, and NSite Development will relocate to adjacent space in the first quarter of 2023.

The company recently hired industry expert Jodi James, who possesses decades of experience in business development and marketing leadership, as Business Development Manager.

Our team, and Rick in particular, has built more than $1 billion in multi-family projects in the Phoenix area,” James said. “I’m thrilled to help drive efforts to develop Lucas Construction Group’s position in multi-family and senior healthcare construction and to reinforce its commitment to delivering quality projects on time and on budget.”

Lucas Construction is licensed in Arizona and Oregon with contracting licenses pending approval in Utah and Nevada.

“We implement pre-construction services early. We leverage our depth of experience to evaluate every aspect of a project to provide practical and efficient approaches to save time and ultimately reduce costs,” Rohde said. “That’s what has made Lucas Construction Group a leader in the industry.”
