TEMPE, Ariz. (August 10, 2026) – The Terracon Foundation has awarded $22,000 in spring 2026 grants to four Arizona organizations dedicated to education, workforce development, STEM outreach, and student scholarship programs.
The grants were championed by Terracon employee-owners who identified opportunities to support initiatives that strengthen Arizona communities and create pathways for future leaders.
Grand Canyon University received a $5,000 grant for its Next Level Lopes Program, championed by Sabrina Perez, Desert Southwest Client Development Manager. The program prepares students for career success by providing workplace readiness training focused on resume development, communication skills, interview preparation, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
The Southern Arizona Research, Science, and Engineering Foundation (SARSEF) was awarded a $4,500 grant, championed by Briana Li-Vidal, P.G., Environmental Project Manager. The funding will support SARSEF’s STEM education and outreach initiatives, which inspire students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on learning opportunities and community engagement.
The Southern Arizona Environmental Management Society (SAEMS) received a $5,000 grant for its student scholarship fund. The grant was championed by Derek D. Koller, Tucson Operations Manager, and will help support students pursuing education and careers in environmental health and safety fields.
Arizona State University was awarded a $7,500 grant for the Terracon Scholars Program championed by Joe Phillips, P.E., Senior Engineering Consultant. The program supports students through educational opportunities that help prepare the next generation of engineering and technical professionals.
