TUCSON, Ariz. (Jan. 13, 2026) – Terracon, a consulting engineering firm specializing in environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services, is proud to announce the hiring of Jason Wunschel as Industrial Hygiene Program Manager in the Tucson office.
Wunschel, a 14-year industry expert, will be responsible for growing Terracon’s industrial hygiene (IH) and regulatory compliance practice throughout the region and assisting the IH team nationwide. He will mentor up-and-coming industrial hygienists on their path toward becoming Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH).

His expertise will help us continue to grow and provide innovative, practical approaches to meet your environmental and compliance needs.”
A native of Placerville, California, Wunschel received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2012. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Wunschel is active with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Arizona chapter; the American Conference of Government Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH); and the California Stormwater Quality Association (CASQA).
Away from the office, Wunschel enjoys spending time with his family, landscaping, and undertaking home remodeling projects, hiking, kayaking, cycling (road and mountain), and taking walks in new cities.
