The March lunch sponsored by AZCREW will present tax attorney Beth Cohn and CPA Sandy Abalos to share their expertise on the matter. The speakers will also discuss 1031 Exchanges, partnership audit rules, reduced or eliminated travel and entertainment expenses, and tax bracket changes.

A native of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Zeihen earned a Bachelor of Science in finance at Arizona State University. She holds a Real Estate license from the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business.
Zeihen gives back to the community by volunteering at Teen Lifeline, a Valley group that provides a safe, confidential, and crucial crisis service where teens help teens make healthy decisions together.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (March 7, 2018) – NAI Horizon continues its office growth in Arizona announcing the hiring of two new associates, Logan Crum and Dylan Whitwer.
Crum joins NAI Horizon’s Investment Services Group. Whitwer joins the Office Properties Group.
Crum will assist Senior Vice Presidents Lane Neville and Barbara Lloyd with their brokerage activities. This includes client relationship-building, market research, leasing services, presentation preparation, and buyer/seller representation in investment transactions.
A native of Spokane, Washington, Crum graduated from the University of Arizona in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in urban and regional development and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He holds an Arizona Real Estate License.
While at UA, Crum interned at NAI Horizon’s Tucson office, creating marketing materials for the Tucson and Phoenix offices. Other duties included mapping, site research, and preparation of site information. Crum also completed an internship at the NAI Black office in Spokane.
Whitwer joins Senior Vice President Laurel Lewis as a tenant representative. He will be responsible for assisting in transaction management as well as developing new tenant relationships and providing market intelligence.
A native of Phoenix, Whitwer earned a BS in communications with a minor in business at Arizona State University in 2015. He is active in industry groups Accelerent and Valley Partnership, where he served as a member of it Advocates (young leaders group).
Whitwer joins NAI Horizon after spending four years working for an environmental and geotechnical engineering firm. He was responsible for environmental site assessments.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA (March 5, 2018) – NAI Horizon celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2017. It also celebrated its best year since the end of the Great Recession, buoyed by a diverse group of brokers whose transactions totaled more than $320 million.

PHOENIX, ARIZ. (March 1, 2018) – U.S. Congressman David Schweikert will tackle a variety of issues as NAIOP Arizona presents a special event as part of its Market Leaders series.
Rep. Schweikert, R-Ariz., serving his fourth term in the U.S. Congress, will speak at the Biltmore Center Conference Room, Suite 180, 2398 E. Camelback Rd., on Friday, March 9. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with networking and lunch.
Rep. Schweikert holds a seat on the Ways and Means Committee, having previously served on the Financial Services Committee. He is also the Republican Co-Chair of the House Blockchain Caucus.

Pete Bolton will be honored with the Award of Excellence at the Best of NAIOP on March 22.
PHOENIX, ARIZ. (February 28, 2018) – Pete Bolton, who mentored generations of commercial real estate professionals and managed four companies, will be honored with the Award of Excellence at the Best of NAIOP on March 22 at the Camelback Inn.
The NAIOP Award of Excellence recognizes an individual who has made a significant, positive impact on the commercial real estate industry in Arizona over a period of at least 15 years, along with direct volunteer contributions to the chapter.
“The Arizona Chapter of NAIOP has benefited from Pete’s countless volunteer hours and expert guidance over the years,” said Suzanne Kinney, President and CEO of NAIOP Arizona. “Pete has left his mark on the commercial real estate industry and beyond. This award is intended to recognize his many contributions.”
After more than 30 years in the industry, Bolton launched Pete Bolton Company in 2017. His new company specializes in using team coaching communication and training to help commercial real estate brokers and sales teams win big and better business opportunities. His questioning, listening and expanding communication programs have helped hundreds of clients achieve better sales results.
Previously, Bolton was executive vice president and managing director of Newmark Knight Frank’s Phoenix office and designated broker for the company’s Arizona brokerage operations. Since opening NKF’s Phoenix office in 2012, Bolton recruited more than 33 industry professionals. Immediately prior, he established a new Grubb & Ellis presence in the Phoenix market. From 1999 to 2008, Bolton served as managing director at CBRE.
A native of Arizona (since he was 4 years old), Bolton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Arizona State University. An established industry leader, Bolton is among the most successful and widely recognized leaders in the Phoenix commercial real estate market. Over the course of his career, he gained extensive experience in commercial brokerage, corporate management, manufacturing and commodities.
